This sector, in addition to a range of familiar scales for different calculations, which includes a pair of lines marked 'Figurarum Regularium' for setting out regular polygons with between three and twenty sides, has two additional features for the military surveyor. One, a 'Tabula Ignographiæ Munimentorum', gives the proportional dimensions of features of fortifications with between four and ten sides. The other, 'Orthographia Munimentorum', is a scaled section giving lengths, heights and depths according to a horizontal scale.
