Ring Dial Attributed to Epiphanius Evesham circa 1600; English Brass; 33 mm in diameter
On the outer side of the ring are engraved the initials of the names of the months 'I', 'F', 'M', 'A', 'M', 'I' and below 'I', 'A', 'S', 'O', 'N', 'D', and the initials 'E E', probably of Epiphanius Evesham. On the inner side are the hours numbered from 1 to 8, and 4 to 12. A sliding rule is probably a later replacement. On the lower side of the ring (when hanging) is a plate with an acorn branch between the initials 'A P'.Ilaria Meliconi
