Surveying Instrument Signed by Hieronimo de Antonio Buzzofo Dated 1562; Italian Wood; 180 mm in height
The instrument, which is probably incomplete, consists of a cylindrical piece of wood, with a lower part of smaller diameter, probably used as a handle. The upper part has two pairs of sighting slits and a brass band fixed around them engraved with the signature and the inscription 'SI DEVS EST PRO NOBIS QVIS CONTRA NOS [foliage] P<ER> ARTE RISMETTICA'.
