Tripod Legs Unsigned 16th century; German Wood and gilt brass; 240 mm in length
The accessory consists of three legs for a tripod in turned wood. Each piece is made of three components which screw together, and has a gilt brass band around, engraved with strapwork. The point of each leg is in iron. They are very similar and can be associated with other parts for mining instruments, namely Epact nos. 27017, 88912, 63427, 39614 and 59706.Ilaria Meliconi
