Vienna
Vienna, chief city of the Habsburg dynasty, played an important part in the early history of instrument making through the influential work of Hans Dorn in the 15th century, in association with the astronomer at the University of Vienna, Georg Peurbach.

For Vienna instruments, see:
Nocturnal, Signed by Hans Dorn, Vienna, Dated 1491 (London, BM)
Vertical Disc Dial, Signed by Alexius Schniep, Vienna, circa 1600 (Oxford, MHS)
