Munich
Munich, in Bavaria, was an important centre for skilled crafts, but its instrument making tradition was inferior to Nuremberg and Augsburg in the same region. The work of the prolific Ulrich Schniep, from the second half of the 16th century, is represented by instruments in many collections.
