seen on this side of the
plate. It
was a standard Hartmann-style rete. The star pointers arose
from pierced bases; the
ecliptic
supports are offset and the characteristic joined
pointer
for the star Vega (cf. the photo in Webster,
Western
Astrolabes, p 53.
