The photography firm of Elliott & Fry was founded in 1863 in Baker Street by Joseph John Elliott and Clarence Edmund Fry. The firm has employed a variety of photographers in its history. Herbert Lambert (1881-1936) has also worked in this firm. The studio was destroyed by bombs in the early 1940s. In 1963 the studio was taken over by and amalgamated with Bassano & Vandyk.
