ML6 was simply a version of the ML4 adapted for operation in sets powered by vehicle batteries. ML6s were widely used as RF oscillators as single-valve phase splitters, and as drivers for larger valves, in medium-sizes military transmitters. The ML4 and ML6 were definitive descendents of the famous Type KL1 of 1926 and were primarily professional and military types, little used in domestic radios.
