Aldersbach
Aldersbach is situated near the ecclesiastical centre and episcopal see of Passau in Bavaria. It appears in the history of instrument making solely on account of the presence there of the abbot of the monastery of Aldersbach, Bartholomaeus Madauer, in the later sixteenth century.

For Aldersbach instruments, see:
Chalice Dial, Signed by Bartholomaeus Madauer, Aldersbach, Dated 1554 (London, BM)
