Modular Drawing

The most common modern technique, which requires a pre-established set of dimensions and a scale by which all the parts can be measured. David Riches here draws the Attic base (for the Ionic or Composite order). He follows the instructions given by Vignola in 1562, whose work was widely known and translated into English in 1655.
