The Museum has arranged a day-long
meeting on Saturday the 2nd November on some of the themes of
the current special exhibition, The Geometry of War. The
speakers will be Dr David Bryden, Dr Stephen Johnston, Dr Alex
Keller, Professor Simon Pepper and Mr Andrew Saunders. The programme
will include an introduction to the exhibition and a practical
session on the use of instruments for drawing out fortifications.
The meeting will begin after coffee
at 10.30 a.m. with the first speaker at 11a.m. and it will end
at around 4.45 p.m. There will be no charge but those who wish
to attend are asked to register with the Secretary of the Museum,
at the address below, by the 25th October. Further details will
