EXHIBITIONS

Compass and Rule: Architecture as Mathematical Practice in England, 1500 - 1750

This week is the last chance to see our summer exhibition, Compass and Rule, which is in the Special Exhibition Gallery until 6th September. Precious drawings, unique instruments and rare books reveal the transformation of architecture in England from the 16th to the 18th century. There are a number of books, manuscripts and drawings that may never be exhibited again in our lifetime, so it is worth fitting in a visit before the exhibition closes.

If you want to discover the stories behind some of the objects in the exhibition, join Stephen Johnston and Anthony Gerbino for the last ‘curator’s guide’ tour of the Special Exhibition tomorrow (Saturday 29th August) at 2pm.
