Ship's Direction Finder (or Radiogoniometer), in pale-painted copper square casing. With two plastic 360-degree scales (marked pelorus ring and relative bearing) in glazed cover with two bakelite dials on metal base upon upper surface of cylinder. Cylinder surrounded by teak? casing, and on ebonite base. Outer casing loose around object.
