T. L. Eckersley was a brother of P. P. Eckersley. P.P. Eckersley was producer, writer, and presenter of the first experimental half-hour programme that the Marconi company was licensed to broadcast each week in 1922. He was also a serious electrical engineer, and had joined the company after taking a degree. Like his brother, T. L. Eckersley also experimented a wireless communication. He worked in the Marconi Research Centre.
