A Company seal is administered, preserved and protected by the Company Secretary. The seal is used to authenticate all contracts made by the company such as share certificates, title deeds, patent applications and so on. A Company is also required to keep a seal book to record details of the documents sealed with the company seal, and the signatures of two directors authorising its use. GEC Archives holds seals from many of the companies that form the roots of GEC.
