Notes:

Amplifier and Detector Type 55A With Headphones, with seven 'Marconi' V24 valves, two sliding potentiometers, numerous terminals, dovetailed teak frame and japanned steel case. Thirteen brass terminals marked "6 VOLTS + -", "H.T. VOLTS + -", "120 Ohms TELEPHONES", "E", "F", and "G". With earphones. This amplifier and detector formed part of a Marconi No.6 direction finding station. It was used along with a radiogoniometer, tuning condenser, transformer, battery and wavemeter.
