Equinoctial Dial
Signed by Cornelius van den Eedt
Dated 1586; Flemish
Gilt brass; 51 mm in diameter

In this universal equinoctial dial, which is very similar to the one in the compendium by Melchior Reichle (Epact 37591), the arm for adjusting the latitude is missing, but it can be assumed that the mechanism was similar.

This is the only known instrument by Cornelius van den Eedt.
