Equinoctial Dial
Unsigned
15th century ?; origin unknown
Brass; 39 mm in diameter

This equinoctial dial has a nocturnal on the top of the lid and one end of its index acts as a catch for keeping the lid shut.

The hour ring is divided into 18 parts and could be adjusted for latitude by placing the point of the gnomon in a depression on a cross bar over the compass glass (now missing).
