Brief Description: Oil painting in carved gilt frame. Portrait of head, shoulders and torso against a dark background. Back of frame has 2 copper alloy eye hooks and copper alloy hanging wire, four wood and white metal hinges and four white metal nails. Each of the four corners of the painting has a metal plate attached with four white metal screws. A copper alloy mirror hook is attached to the label described above. The painting is backed by and mdf(?) and hardboard(?) panel.
Primary Inscriptions: No inscriptions visible.
Provenance: Presented by the National Maritime Museum in 1986. Previously lent by the National Maritime Museum (1960 - 1986) along with Inv 43023.
