Brief Description: A fitted wooden case with copper alloy hinges and a lock mechanism containing a Solar microscope and accessories. The microscope comprises of three parts, a plate with a large aperture with screw thread, a body tube and a cylinder with holes in the side to hold a mirror. There are also 6 wooden sliders.
Primary Inscriptions: The plate is engraved "W. Crum FRS 1796-1867."
