Brief Description: | Decoratively pierced base plate; folding latitude quadrant; part circle hour band in circular ring; sprung folding plummet; compass base adjustable for magnetic variation 40-[0]-40; three feet. Leather-covered, silk-lined pasteboard case. Note that the case's latitude disc is brass rather than silvered and the case is a looser fit than customary; has it been inadvertently swapped?
