Brief Description: Brass circular case with lid; dial engraved with hour-lines for Italian [or Bohemian] hours: the hours are indicated by black lines and the half-hours by red lines. Set into dial magnetic compass with silvered scale.
Primary Inscriptions: "FLORENTIAE COSMVS THOMAS HVGGEFORDVS F. A.D. MCC.XIIII", engraved on the dial, and also "MORE CAMPANARVM AD LATITVDINEM GRAD: 43. ET 50. MIN:".
