Brief Description: The instrument stands on two pillars of different thickness. The more slender pillar also supports the concave mirror and a spring stage. The latter can be moved for focusing by a knob, mounted on the opposite side of the pillar, that racks the stage up and down. Apertures can be changed by means of a peg that protrudes from a slot in the body. The pillars stand on square feet that are screwed onto a wooden base.

The eyepiece is held in a brass cylinder that pushes into the main body tube.
