Brief Description: The body is covered in black shagreen, divided half an inch from the top for the draw tube, which is decorated in green vellum with gold stampings and has lignum vitae mounts for the eyepiece and snout. The body is supported on three turned brass legs on the circular, brass, spring stage. A bull's-eye lens and stage forceps are mounted on the stage. The lower legs are spaced between the upper legs and stand on a circular lignum vitae base. A plane mirror in a horseshoe mount is set at the centre of the base.
