Brief Description: This copper alloy instrument stands on a disk with a concave mirror mounded at its centre. Three scrolled legs support the circular stage and body. The stage has a keyhole slot and a pinhole for accessories. There are two spring clips on the underside of the stage to hold glass phials. The body consists of a draw tube that pushes into a cylinder fixed to the legs. The body has a blackened eyecup, that screws over the eye lens, and a field lens. The nose has as internal thread for objectives. The pyramid case is mahogany and has a drawer lined with green felt. The drawer contains three objectives, a bull's-eye lens, a copper alloy fishplate with a green silk ribbon, three glass slides, a spring stage and three ivory sliders with no specimens.
