Inventory no. 90861 - The Architecture of the Model

In his paper on the model Alex Marr notes that rusticated columns (though the model has pilasters) were thought particularly appropriate to military architecture (see, pp. 121-3). And the model's donor Clement Edmondes not only published commentaries on ancient warfare but acted as a military administrator.
