DISTILLATION FLASK
c.1912

One of the earliest examples of fused silica glassware. It was used for the distillation of mercury c.1912 at the Foxcombe Laboratory (Boars Hill) of Lord Berkeley, F.R.S. (1865-1942). The flask has an evacuated jacket, and the delivery tube has an integral water jacket.
