English CASE of DRAWING INSTRUMENTS c.1740

Silver, silvered brass, steel, etc.; with original silver-mounted,
fish-skin covered, wooden case. The case is signed, "Thos. Heath
Fecit."; the parallel ruler and the sector also are signed. Undated.
The set of instruments includes: a combined parallel ruler, pro-
tractor, plotting scale and diagonal scale; a combined sector and
square; a pair of dividers; a pair of compasses with swivel points,
steel and pencil; a drawing pen and pencil holder, the shaft of which
can be unscrewed revealing a stylus.
