Brief Description: Marconi Crystal Receiver A Type RB3, in crinkle-black finish case. Receiver has ebonite surface with dual headphones plugs, crystal and aerial switches, alternative galena and carborundum crystals, crystal battery, aerial and earth terminals. With detachable range block (300 - 450 M), and printed operation instructions insert in the lid.

With alternative galena and carborundum crystals, the Marconiphone Crystal A receiver was designed to give clear reception on headphones within a range of 25 miles from a broadcasting station.
Primary Inscriptions: "MARCONIPHONE / MWT CO. LTD. [LOGO]" transfers on exterior surface of lid. "G. Marconi [Signature logo]" transfer on front surface of lid. "BBC [LOGO]" on interior surface of lid. "MARCONI CRYSTAL A / TYPE R. B. 3. M. 2 / INST. NO S/C. 1368" printed on celluloid plaque upon ebonite surface of receiver. "WAVE LENGTH / 300 - 450 M. / C.P. 020" printed on celluloid plaque upon vertical surface of wavelength plate.
