Brief Description: From the inclination of the gnomons the dial is for about 6° north, possibly for a colonial British possession (British Guiana or Ceylon?).
Square base (cracked) with a recess for a loose brass compass with lid (needle missing), orientaiton indicated by inset N on ivory; hinged vertical dial plate with folding gnomons on both sides; lid.
