Brief Description: A turned pillar stands on a folding tripod with scrolled legs. A compass joint at the top of the pillar carries the square cross sectioned limb. A sleeve at the lower end of the limb carries the plano-concave mirror. The cruciform stage is mounted on a sleeve with a rack and pinion and moves on the limb for focusing. There are two slots, with leaf springs, on the stage for accessories and a circular spring stage with a condensing lens fits the stage hole. An arm with a collar is mounted on a rack and pinion mechanism at the top of the limb. The narrow nosepiece of the body tube fits the collar. There are no eye lenses present and an objective lens screws to the nose.
