Brief Description: Large format with hinged removable lid carrying equinoctial and polar dials on outer face, pasted MS instructions on inner face with elevating strut; lower leaf carries latitude quadrant scale and removable horizontal string-gnomon dial for 50° with painted compass card, brass hour ring and folding gnomon support with retaining hook. The hour ring can be rotated against a scale of degrees. There is an empty compartment with a brass cover for a gnomon. The base carries the hour lines of a horizontal dial.
