Brief Description: The black painted wood stand has a fixed ring at the top to take the body tube, which would be held by friction. The stage and consists of a glass disk set in a wooden ring. The plane sub stage mirror is fixed in position below the stage. The circular base is weighted with lead held in place by steel nails.
Provenance: Presented by the Executors of Miss Jane Willis Kirkaldy, of Somerville College, in 1932
