Brief Description: Collotype (or similar photomechanical reproduction), from a photograph, probably a self-portrait. Teasdale is shown approximately half length, seated at his desk, facing front, posed as if writing. Items on the desk include a sundial, and a microscope is behind him to the right. He is wearing a velvet jacket.
The society he was president of (in the caption) was probably Leeds Astronomical Society. The photograph on a printed sheet was evidently produced for the society, either at the end of his presidency or at the time of his death in 1903.
