Brief Description: Albumen print (from multiple wet collodion glass negatives), large horizontal format with arched top, unmounted, somewhat frayed and creased but retaining strong brown and sepia colour. A variant version of the famous Rejlander composite image 'The Two Ways of Life', first exhibited in its original form in 1857. Smaller versions such as this were then produced for sale. It is an artistic/allegorical composition or tableau of posed figures, nude and in archaic dress; props include a globe and an hour-glass.
