Brief Description: Miniature pocket-sized album bound in dark red-brown leather. 8 thick card leaves opening in Chinese-book style, designed for carte de visite photographs. The 16 sleeves or apertures contain 14 photographs (albumen prints mounted on card) and 2 printed cards. As well as a few portraits, the subjects are (unusually for cartes de visite) chiefly topographical and architectural, presumably places visited by W. Hargreaves-Mawdsley, including several in horozontal format.
