History of the Filoscope

Filoscope was patented in 1897 by the English cameramen Henry William Short, who formed for this purpose a company, the Anglo-French Filoscope Syndicate. The subjects of the Filoscope were usually films of Robert Paul (1869-1943), pioneer of the British film industry and Short's friend.
