Ivory and gilt brass. Signed, "T {serpent} D" [=Thomas Ducher, Nuremberg]; undated.

Includes: 1. Wind-rose and compass viewing-hole; 2. Vertical pin-gnomon dial showing the declination of the Sun and the length of the day; 3. Horizontal string-gnomon dial, adjustable for latitudes 42°, 48° & 54°, horizontal pin-gnomon dial for "POLNISGHE VHR" [= Italian hours] for latitude 50°, and compass; 4. Combined lunar volvelle and table of Julian and Gregorian epacts.
