Inventory No. 40626 - Inventory Note
This clock was originally found with label Inv. 79347, but there was already a clock with this number, which also had the correct accession number. Therefore we have decided that this clock must be Inv. 40626 as there was no object labelled 40626 in the location specified in EMu, and there are no other known American 30-hour clocks.
As this object was mislabelled, there has been some confusion in the EMu records- the Old Label Text narrative describes Inv. 79347 rather than Inv. 40626, and information about the Birmingham museum loan was attached to Inv. 79347, but has now been switched to Inv. 40626 after consulting the loan records.
