MOULD FOR A VERTICAL SUNDIAL

Unsigned; perhaps French or German. Stone. Roughly 195 x 140 mm.
The semi-circular hour scale shows the hours VI-XII-VI, subdivided by half hours. The mould was probably used for making vertical sundials of pewter or lead, perhaps by the cire perdu process. There is a mould for a crucifix on the other side.
