Signed, in a cartouche below the shadow-square, 'Made by `Abd al-Ali; undated. Brass.

`Ankabût for c.26 fixed stars; the centre of the `ankabût is missing. 4 plates, for latitudes 22°, 24°; 27°, 30°; 32°, 34°; 36° and 39°. One plate may be a replacement. The umm is engraved as a gazeteer of the longitude, latitude, inhirâf, jiha, and masâfa of 27 places.

On the back there are scales of degrees and cotangents; a sine graph; the arcs of the signs of the zodiac with graphs of the sun's meridian altitude for latitudes 28°-36°, at intervals of 2° and of azimuths of the Qibla for Qazvîn, Isfahan, Yazd, oûs and ?Shîrâz; a shadow-square, within which is a table of triplicities; and an astrological table of the signs of the zodiac, the terms and faces of the planets and the mansions of the moon. The alidade, horse and pin are replacements.
