Ottoman Turkish astrolabes are usually rather plain compared to contemporary Persian and Indo-Persian instruments. This example by 'Adbi is dated 1713/14 and embodies the clean lines and lack of decoration typical of the style. Its rete is on display in the exhibition's final case.
