Prayer times
There are several Muslim prayers to be performed daily, each at its own specified time. Astronomical instruments could be used to give the correct times of these prayers. In the top right quadrant of [1] curved lines give the beginning and end of the afternoon prayer. In addition to hour lines, the lower half of the plates of [2] give lines for dawn, afternoon and twilight prayers.
