Printed, on paper, from engraved plates, coloured by hand and stuck on pasteboard. Inscribed, "Published as the Act directs by S. Godwin, August. 12th. 1802."
This instrument belonged to the Rev. Lewis Evans (1755-1827) who was the first mathematical master at the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, and the great-grandfather of Dr. Lewis Evans, the benefactor of this Museum.
