Inventory no. 54330 - Dating
The old label dated this to c. 1360. Perhaps this was to place the instrument as an intermediate point in an evolutionary tree leading from the Y-type rete to the Fusoris rete.
It seems equally possible that it could be a parallel development to that of Fusoris, or even derivative from it. Hence a date of c. 1400 has currently been ascribed.
