Brass, with blued steel screws. Signed, "1712: Johan Martin Vnseld, Vlm fecit".
Engraved, with two scales of 180°, and a scale for drawing polygons of up to twenty sides. There is an index-arm mounted on a swivel ring so as not to obscure the origin of the lines drawn.
Johann Martin Unseld worked both in Ulm and in Augsburg.
