DANCER'S ORIGINAL ADJUSTABLE DIAPHRAGM
John Benjamin Dancer of Manchester "...was the inventor of the aperture shutter in various forms, which has been improperly called the 'Davis shutter'. Davis refers to the instrument and distinctly states that it was Dancer's invention".*
Dancer made photomicrographs using both solar and oxy-hydrgoen projection microscopes.
