Ivory. Unsigned and undated.
One side of the rule is marked "INTRORSUM" and is engraved with scales and diagrams entitled, " A {square} & {pentagon} ad Lineam Rectam", "Pro Opere Cornulo", "Pro Triangulo", "Pro Alis Fortificandis". The other side, marked, "EXTRORSUM", has scales and diagrams entitled, "A {pentagon} ad Lineam Rectam", "Pro Ravelino et Opere Coronato A ad Lin: Rect", "Pro Quadrato", Pro Triangulo".
