SALTED PAPER PRINT (CALOTYPE) by Nicolaas Henneman (Henneman & Malone), 1847-1855 - William Henry Hunt, a nature painter, the realism and colourfulness of whose paintings influenced Ruskin and the Pre-Raphaelites; the photograph has a faint grid of pencil lines drawn over the head, betraying its use for a (?self) portrait; the photographer Henneman was Talbot's pupil and assistant, and then operated a calotype portrait studio in London from 1847 to 1855
